Our Dear Friends & Partners

Greetings from Zimbabwe and the ADM team.  You are constantly in our thoughts and prayers and we believe God is doing great things in your lives. For this update we give you a different perspective of the work you have partnered with us. Joseph from Compassion Christian Church (Georgia) and Josephine from Christ’s Church of the Valley (California)  share on their experiences on their mission trips.

Walk The Talk Mission Visit

A Day In The Village: Kambarami, Zimbabwe

A village gathered as we drilled a well & it was an honor to be a part of the whole experience. Our first full day in Zimbabwe was filled with so many blessings. The purpose of coming to Zimbabwe was for a clean water project. Andrew had a vision to build a water well for a community in need of one last year & had raised $7000. Marcus and I joined the project & here we are, in Zimbabwe ready to see the vision come alive! The village chosen for the well is called Kambarami & it has a population of around 500 people.

I was so impressed at how the woman I was with (Sinodia), was able to carry a bucket of water on her head without holding it & walk around everywhere. She invited me into her home & made me rice, beans & avocado (her favorite meal). It was an honor to be fed by her. I absolutely love getting to see how people live & seeing their homes & eating a local meal.
About 4 hours had passed since we started drilling and the rig apparently broken down (the rig was the machine drilling the well). The workers kept trying to fix it, but after a couple of hours it still wasn’t working. Me & my team decided to go lay hands on the truck & pray for it. Apparently right before we prayed for it, the workers had given up & decided that the rig was broken & already called in another rig from Zambia, which was supposed to arrive the next day, that would have been really bad but they had no other choice. After the workers saw us pray, they decided to try again & the rig started right up again after a 2 hour breakdown! We were all so in awe of God & wow it was amazing! This is a day I will never forget!!!

Compassion Christian Church Mission Visit

We hit the ground running and had an awesome time in Zimbabwe!   We trained children’s ministry teachers at Eastside Christian Church!  We were able to share ways to teach children and have fun at the same time. I believe that they were truly inspired. We were able to visit some homes where we were able to pray and encourage several families. We were also able to host a fun day with a carnival for the kids.
In Mhondoro, we served at Kwari Primary School where we played games with the kindergarten and first graders as well as taught them David and Goliath through role-play. Painting the exterior of the school was our work project and it was wonderful to work alongside the village locals to help paint the school and get to know the children better. They warmed up to us nicely and the village chief due to our hospitality gave us two goats and a turkey!
We were able to help support the benevolence program which allowed for over 60 kids to receive hampers for their homes. Because of Compassion Christian’s support, we were able to help many families in ways we would take for granted. Thank you to all the generous people who have sacrificed much to help these wonderful children!
